How to Put a Green Cheek Conure Back in His Cage #birds #parrot #training #care

Published on October 29, 2024

How can I put my Green Cheek Conure back into the cage? What should I do if my Green Cheek Conure does not want to go back in the cage? This video is about how I use target training to direct and teach my Green Cheek Conure to go back into the cage.

I do some targeting exercises outside the cage for practice. And I teach him to step up by following the target stick. Finally, I use the target stick to keep his attention and direct him to step off my hand into the cage. Then, I let him step up to come back out of the cage and practice the exercise again.
