How Old Can Senegal Parrots Get? Lifespan

Published on December 09, 2024

How old can Senegal Parrots get? What is the typical lifespan for Senegal Parrots? Here is Kili, my Senegal Parrot, and she is 16 years old. Senegal Parrots, Poicephalus senegalus, typically have a lifespan of 30 and up to 50 years.

This is why parrots are a big commitment and responsibility in order to help them live a long and healthy life. It is very important to provide them with a great diet, nutrition, plenty of toys, natural sunlight, enrichment, and fulfilling experiences. Take good care of your parrot.
