Taking Grey Parrot for Harness Walk - Why it's great!

Published on September 25, 2023

Taking a baby Congo African Grey outside on a harness:
1) Clip leash to belt loop
2) Ask Grey to put harness on
3) Go outside

When the parrot volunteers to wear the harness, it can happily enjoy being outside instead of constantly trying to chew and remove the harness. Learn about training your parrot to happily wear a harness:

Taking your parrot outdoors is wonderful. The bird can enjoy fresh air and sunlight. It's also great socialization. It lets the parrot experience new people. places, and objects. But it also helps the parrot form a stronger bond with you. Always use a harness, travel cage, carrier, or aviary when taking a parrot outdoors for safety.
