Taking 2 African Greys Outside Together

Published on October 12, 2021

I took out 2 Congo African Grey Parrot Babies on harnesses together for the first time! Until now I have been taking them one at a time so that I could monitor them closely and socialize them. It takes a lot of attention to make sure one bird is comfortable and doesn't try to fly off. Much harder with two.

These babies have been progressing so well with all the prior outings around the neighborhood, to parks, home depot, and more. So, I trust them outside enough to add some more complexity and took them both together.

This is actually the first time in my life that I've held two parrots wearing harnesses on the same hand! My Senegal Parrot would not tolerate another parrot that close to her. So, that was a neat thing to experience.
